Cyriel Kortleven has written a new book: Timespiration, a different look at time.
Here’s a small excerpt from the book:
“When I was born, I was given a surname so full of meaning, I was bound to come across its one day or another. As my father was, and his father, and many other fathers before that were, I was named ‘Kortleven’, which translates literally as ‘Short Life’. Time was of essence to me from the very start.
This being said, it took me almost 30 years before I somehow became aware of this. Then another 3 years to realise I had a story to tell. And still 3 more years to give birth to this book, to bring together all the different stories, images, poems, practices and people that inspired me.
